Yearbook publication guidelines

Contributions for publication in the IDS Yearbook are invited on any topic of interest to dendrologists and should be submitted to the Editor at Enable JavaScript to view protected content..

Submissions should be made in a form agreed with the Editor. The principal language of the Yearbook is English, although contributions in other languages may be considered. It is a condition of acceptance that contributions are the original work of the author(s) and have not previously been published.

The Editor reserves the right to refuse any contribution and to make textual changes without reference to the author. The Editor may refer manuscripts to members of the IDS Science and Education Committee or independent referees before acceptance. Specific guidance on writing reports is given by the Editor at the time of commissioning.

Illustrations and artwork are welcome, and should be the work of the author unless otherwise stated. Illustrations from publications by others may not be used without agreement from the copyright holder, and if artwork has previously been used elsewhere it is the responsibility of the author to obtain any permission needed to reprint. Published maps may not be reproduced, although sketch maps are acceptable.
