Candidates for membership do not need professional or scientific qualifications in horticulture, but should have a serious interest in plants, particularly shrubs and trees.

Ordinary |
Members may join in Tours and other events organised by the Society and receive the printed Yearbook, news information and other communications each year and access to the Members' online platform. Their subscriptions are paid annually in January at the current rate prevailing. |

This type of membership is only available to partners of existing full ordinary or life members. Annual subscriptions, payable in January, are half that of Ordinary rate. Ordinary Associate members may join in Tours and members' events, but do not receive any of the Society’s printed literature. |

Members have the same privileges as Ordinary and Ordinary Associates but gain the advantage of making a once-only payment and are not therefore liable for any increase in the subscription rate. |

Institutional |
Membership is for Societies/Institutions wishing to establish links with the International Dendrology Society. They pay an annual subscription at the current rate prevailing and receive the Society's literature. |
